After removing one and putting it in the mains my Internet TV channels began working. I had BOTH Power Line Adaptors plugged into extension cables. Basically, if you have either powerline adaptor plugged into an extension cable then it can significantly affect your Internet TV channels. Power Line Adaptor Setup – I have not seen this solution mentioned by anyone else but it worked perfectly for me. Test a direct Ethernet connection to the router – If using Powerline adaptors first check if the problem is related to them by setting up a direct connection between router and Youview box.ģ. Then, when the red light appears press the down button on the top of the box for 5 seconds until you see the maintenance mode on screen then press the power button and wait for the secret menu.Ģ. Either through the Youview menu or by switching off the box at the back then switching it back on. System Reset – There are two ways of doing a system reset. This is how I figured out what was wrong with my setup.ġ. If like me, your Youview box is freezing, jumping or pixelated on the Internet Channels then it is probably due to connection issues. I thought “great stuff” and decided to test them only to find them either a black screen or pixelated. The update started slowly but sped up later and voila my Internet channels were appearing. I did not lose hope and tried a software update for the BT TV Box. Low profile with curving edges, it’s a simple matte black box with gloss trim, with an inoffensive BT logo on the front that glows to show the box’s status. The BT TV Box Pro is about as attractive in design as a set top box gets. It’s the VIP package that we’ve been testing the box alongside for review, for reference. It’s a pricing tier that scales well to your finances and viewing habits then, but note that the BT TV Box Pro really comes into its own when you’ve access to the full breadth of its content offerings. They vary depending on the breadth of the package you sign up for, with an entry package starting at £12, and a VIP package, including access to the premium sports and Sky TV packages, costing £65 a month: Those fees aside, there’s no upfront charge for the box itself, with the hardware subsidised by the monthly fees. An activation fee of £20 is required, alongside a postage cost of £9.99. The BT TV Box Pro is sold as part of a 24 month contract through BT.
